Who We Are

We are a volunteer-led group focused on electing pro-bike City Councillors who will make our streets safer for everyone

Our Top Priorities

We support candidates who are committed to:

Building out a network of separated bike lanes

Protected bike lanes make it possible for people of all ages and abilities to get around safely and comfortably, whether they are commuting to work, running errands, or biking to school. A complete network of separated bike lanes will allow residents to comfortably travel anywhere in the city on bike.

Improving intersections so they are safer for everyone

There are many intersections in Cambridge with extremely high crash rates. Making these intersections safer would benefit all road users, such as children biking to school, seniors and families crossing the street, and drivers navigating complex turns. Simple design interventions can prevent injuries and save lives.

Creating calm, livable residential streets

Neighborhood streets should feel safe and welcoming, not dominated by fast cut-through traffic. Traffic calming measures and street redesigns can reduce speeding, make it easier for kids to play outside, and create a more comfortable environment for walking, biking, and community life.

Other Priorities

  • Secure, accessible bike parking so residents in every neighborhood can store their bikes without fear of having them stolen
  • Expansion of the Bluebikes system with more stations across the city, including e-bike charging and equitable access for low-income residents.
  • Programs that expand bike access, such as continued funding for Cambridge Bike Give Back and the city’s e-bike and cargo bike lottery programs.
  • A safer Memorial Drive redesigned to slow traffic, reduce crashes, and expand access to the riverfront for walking and biking.
  • Strong enforcement of dangerous driving and illegal parking, including state authorization for automated enforcement of red-light running, speeding, and blocking bus lanes, crosswalks, and bike lanes.
  • Open Streets initiatives that create safe, car-free spaces for people to walk, bike, and gather, bringing more community life to Cambridge’s streets.
