Election Day is November 4th. Polls are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm
Here’s everything you need to know to make sure your vote counts
Voter Registration
Now is the time to make sure you’re registered and ready to vote. The deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration is October 25th, and can be done here.
If you have a license, or other ID issued by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, you can register or update your information online. If you don’t, you can fill out a form online, but you’ll need to print, sign, and deliver this mail-in form to the Cambridge Election Commission at 689 Massachusetts Ave. It must be delivered or postmarked no later than October 25th.

How to Vote
Cambridge voters have the option to vote early by mail in all elections, with no excuse required. If you want to vote by mail, you’ll need to request a mail in ballot by October 28th and return it by 8 p.m. on November 4th. You can request a mail in ballot here.
In person early voting starts October 25th and ends on October 31st. Drop off boxes and early voting locations can be found here.
You can find your November 4th polling place here.
Proportional Representation
All nine seats on the Cambridge City Council are elected at-large on the same ballot, using a ranked-choice voting system called proportional representation. It is important to rank the entire CBS endorsed candidates list in the order of your choice. Endorsements have not been released yet, but we’ll let you know when they have!
You can learn more about how this system works here, or watch an explainer video here.
